Hello 3rd Trimester!

It's been a crazy few weeks since my last post. I am definitely feeling more tired and bending over is just not the same. Baby girl is moving and grooving like a pro now. I love it except when she gets a little hand or foot stuck in my ribs. It doesn't hurt yet, just gets uncomfortable and feels like I need to shake her out! And forget about heartburn, how about waking up randomly in the middle of the night because you are choking on your own vomit. No one told me about that. Acid reflux is my new enemy. I really can't complain though since everything I've experienced so far has been in moderation.

We are finally making some progress on the baby room! Here are a few pictures of the pre-baby room after we took all the furniture out.

I think Barley wants to be in every picture! She must be getting worried about how much attention she will get after the baby arrives :)
There she is again. She just cracks me up! Those are the colors that we are considering for the walls. Once we finish the room I'll post some new pictures!

Since I missed a few weeks, here is a picture of me at 26 weeks. Baby girl is definitely getting bigger now!

The baby shower in Michigan was so much fun. I said that I like birds and simple things, and Sheila, Annette, Julie, Kathleen, and Renate went to town! Here are some highlights of the decorations. I definitely think Sheila needs to start her own Etsy or Pinterest page!

The cake was so amazing, I didn't know how we were going to eat it! Annette should always be in charge of cakes :) This picture of the diaper cake just doesn't do it justice. It was a tower of 120 diapers, rattles, ointment, washcloths, socks, nuks, and a security blanket on top. Just amazing. And the centerpieces were handmade chocolate with washcloths and socks as well. Favors were the cutest personalized lemonade packets and cute bird cookies! I just loved the big bird baby girl balloon too! The games were fun and unique from what I have seen.
Here is a better picture of the diaper cake....

I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful shower, and so many friends and family to enjoy it with.

Thank you to Christi and Ashley too who drove considerable distances to be there. It was so great to see you and I love you both :)

I have to show off some of the handmade gifts. I have such a talented family!

This quilt is from my Godmother, my aunt Maria and it is just gorgeous!!!

These pillows are also from my Aunt Maria, and the patterns she picked out are perfect!

Handmade bibs, hat, booties, mittens, and sweater from Aunt Sheila. They are so cute!

Crocheted State blanket made by my cousin Candice's mom (the baby has to stay warm during games!)

Another blanker from Candice's mom I love the colors!

An absolutely gorgeous blanket, sweater hat, and booties made by Julie!!

Our baby girl is so spoiled already!

I have to give a shout out to Alex for being the best husband a girl could have. After having a grueling and exhausting week I came home Saturday night to a completely painted baby room, cleaned kitchen, bathrooms, and living room, and five loads of laundry washed and folded. HE IS A REAL MAN. Not only does he provide and protect, he is dedicated, loving, and serving. I can only hope to be as good of a wife to him as he is a husband to me.
